Alta Langa Brut Millesimato D.O.C.G 12,5%
From £31.20
Alta Langa is one of Piedmont’s most prestigious and representative sparkling wines in Italy.
Alta Langa Bordà Le Clivie is produced in a hilly limestone-clay area 450 metres above sea level, influenced by the Alps and the Ligurian Sea. It is a vintage brut sparkling wine produced using the classic method.
The grapes are harvested at the end of August, manually in small baskets. This is followed by the pressing of the whole grapes and the first fermentation of the free-run juice. Fermentation then takes place in the bottle, resting in the cellars “sur lattes” at a constant temperature of 15-18°. The ageing period lasts over 30 months. This is followed by the freezing of the bottle necks, disgorging, sugar dosage and finally packaging.
Alta Langa Bordà Le Clivie is the result of an exceptional terroir and consolidated savoir-faire. The result is a sparkling wine with an intense and complex aroma and a full, savoury and enveloping flavour.
