Bouquet

Deep aroma with scents of red fruit and sour cherries, and spicy notes of liquorice and coffee.

Palate

The wine is elegant, dense and rich in tannins.

Ideal with roast and grilled meats, it pairs perfectly with traditional dishes from the Basilicata region, such as strozzapreti with ragout, pork sausage, crispy peppers (peperone crusco), red aubergines and white beans (Fagioli Bianchi di Rotonda D.O.P.). Interesting in combination with international recipes such as chili-con-carne or moussaka.
