This Brunello is a noble, elegant wine with an excellent structure. The production area is limited to the municipality of Montalcino, in the province of Siena, which contributes to making it an exclusive and sought-after wine. Its origin dates back to the 19th century, when Ferruccio Santi selected and vinified grapes of a Sangiovese varietal known locally as “Brunello” because of the dark colour of its berries. Over the years, this wine has confirmed its value, becoming distinguished, among other things, by its long evolutionary path.
During the significant ageing period, Brunello di
Montalcino Piccarda Donati slowly absorbs the
aromas and perfume from the wooden barrels
and barriques in which it spends long months
A wine of outstanding longevity and elegance, it is explicitly
revealing itself slowly, improving as time goes by.
